'Naomi' is a verbatim 'one-man' play retelling the story of Naomi and her suicide through the eyes of those who were close to her.
The adapted design for Melbourne Fringe Festival 2022's rendition of Naomi incorporates the glowing triangle from the original stage design. This symbol of Naomi, frames items ceremoniously hung throughout the play, representing milestones in her life. My design adaptation consists of little worlds with personalised lamps for each character. These lightbulbs embody the energy of each person and individually illuminate when the performer inhabits that character. Each light depicts the intangible memory of Naomi.
The costume design aims to encapsulate all the personas through a genderless and generic appearance to aid convey the communication of the performers transformations throughout the show.
